Description of Board:
1. Most of the Astral herd's dale is taken up by a broad meadow flanking the stream which runs down the mountain and through the valley. The lack of trees makes this a sunny spot on clear days, and thus a favorite location to sit and conduct daily business, whether making goods, checking records, or putting together plans for upcoming adventures. On nice days, a couple Thyci can usually be found napping in the soft grass. The stream itself is clear, with a rocky bottom. When herd meetings take place in the meadow, foals are allowed to play in the water, keeping them occupied during otherwise boring discussions.
2. At the back of the dale, the valley narrows into an uneven rocky field formed by winter erosion and rock-slides. Here, the Astral herd practices various combat skills, ranging from acrobatics to out-right fighting. Young apprentices are taught observational and sneaking skills by stalking each other through the rocky landscape. Rarely, a Thyci will fall into a particularly deep or awkward crevice between boulders and will require rescuing.
3. A cave opening is accessible through a sinkhole partway up an adjacent mountainside. The herd uses this cave as a long-term storage location for various supplies, ranging from weapons to food to trade-able goods. Markings on the walls where food is stored indicates how much was stashed away in previous years, with notes of the harshness of the winter and whether the food lasted the season.
