Site Wide Events: Rules & Information Site Wide Events, what are they, how do we do them, and why are they fun? The sitewide roleplay is for any site-created events. These are hosted by staff and can relate to the Thcyi in any number of ways, whether a special event for a holiday or season, or a site declared moment of fear from a Disirax sighting. Whatever reason there may be, there will be a whole board dedicated to that event. We will announce roughly a week to two weeks before any new event will be posted, and members will be capable of joining the event at any time during its running period. Most events will run for a limit of two weeks, and a max of two months. Within the board for the event will be the event-based RP thread(s) where staff members will be leading the adventures - including pre-planned and developed obstacles and more. These threads will be run only at certain times, and there may be more than one for large groups of players. You will be given a 24 hour window to sign up for the next adventure about to start. These smaller, short time event threads are where expeditions and events happen. This board will also have a mass thread for a large-group chat/RP thread for the event where members can post as often, or as little as they want. It's also this thread that clues about next adventures may be given out (although the adventures will be announced on a more global scale through PMs). While likely to be wild at times, please try to make everyone feel welcome in this group thread. The above sort of threads will be pinned to the top of the board for easy find, but there will also be the ability for members to create threads to interact in smaller, more limited groups - whether in [Open] threads - threads that allow anyone to join, or [Closed] threads - threads that are reserved for certain members only. These threads will be member led, and not guided by staff, however we will monitor them for those who intend to stick close to the theme and setting of the event, and are likely to award extra points and prizes for those who stick closest to that theme. |
